Band Jam Incursion

Our Band Director, Mr Brendan Berlach organised a Band Jam Incursion on Thursday 19 October, inviting students from Wyong Christian Community School and The Coast Christian School to join our Welcome Band and Junior Band, along with some members of our Secondary School Band. All the students worked hard throughout the day at breakout workshops to learn new music pieces to perform a concert for their parents at the end of the day.

Congratulations to all the students from GPCC, WCCS, TCCS and to Mr Berlach and the music tutors for organising this wonderful opportunity for the students.

Wakakirri Award

Our Wakakirri team gathered in the Staff Common Room to watch a video before of their first performance while enjoying iceblocks and lollie bags. They then heard about the announcements of the National Awards.

Green Point Christian College received a National Award Highly Commended.

Congratulations to all the students, staff and parents that were involved in this fantastic production.

Kindergarten Amazement Farm and Fun Park

Our Kindergarten students were treated to a wonderful day at the Amazement Park. Some of the activities included Farmyard animal petting, wildlife presntations, reptile presentation, donkey walk, koala presentation and maze walks

Year 2 Sustainable Future Festival Excursion

Year 2 were very excited to explore the Sustainable Future Festival recently. There were many hands-activities that engaged the children as they discovered many different aspects of caring for our environment. They had the opportunity to interact with the larger than life 'Super Sustainables', musicians, garbologists and ride a smoothie bike! It was a wonderful learning experience and lots of fun.

Grandparents Day – Monday 30 October

20221110_HR_79_Cropped.jpg

GPCC are hosting a K-2 Grandparents Day on the morning of Monday 30 October (9:15am – 11:30am).

GPCC has not had a Grandparent’s Day for the past 5 years. In that time our Primary department has grown considerably as has our College. For this reason, some events that we once did K-6 are now much more feasible scaled back. Grandparents’ Day is one of those events. As I am sure parents will understand not all grandparents are mobile and spritely and an event like this requires much planning and consideration around areas such as mobility, parking, access to classrooms etc. For this reason, we are keeping the Grandparents day to a K-2 event.

Please RSVP by Friday 20 October via Parent Lounge.

We are looking forward to a wonderful time with the senior members of our community and showcasing our beautiful school.

Don’t forget to email photos of your child with their grandparents to Mrs de Lore jdelore@gpcc.nsw.edu.au by Monday 23 October. Please email 1 photo per set of grandparents as there will be a lot of photos to run through. If your child’s grandparents aren’t able to attend Grandparents Day please feel free to email photos for the slide show as the children will see this as well.
