Callum is a quiet achiever who gets his job done very well with no fuss. However, what people don’t see is how he goes above and beyond to help those he works with or who come to the Service Desk. Example - Cal will hear a conversation and be quietly looking up the answer so he can help. He could just ignore the conversation and get on with his own job, but no, Cal loves to help others in every way he can, so he goes out of his way to do that.
Cal will be the first person to help when the job is hard and includes heavy lifting or dirty work. He is also the person who helps with the boring jobs, he just gets in and does the work without complaining. A great example of this is the ICT recent move from the top of the Library to TAS 4. Cal patiently unpacked the storage cupboard and moved it all to the new storage container. Then he cleaned out everything and moved the ICT staff one by one.
Cal is a kind and caring colleague, has amazing patience and will help when everyone else has given up because it’s all too hard. This is also evident in his commitment to his church community and love for Jesus!
Well done Cal – you are loved and greatly appreciated by your fellow staff.

MHFA @GPCC
What is Mental Health First Aid? (MHFA). It is a practical, skills-based education program that equips whole school communities with the skills and confidence needed to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. By improving mental health literacy and reducing stigma, Mental Health First Aid courses also help improve outcomes and help seeking behaviours for those affected by mental health problems.
In Staff Devotions, as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, I was privileged to present Mental Health First Aid Certificates of Completion to 18 more staff. The College now has 26 trained MHFA staff in total, with many expressions of interest for training in 2024.

An Invitation to the Community
A CHRISTMAS GATHERING FOR THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES.
The gathering will be a time of meeting together with others who are experiencing bereavement to honour loved ones who are no longer with us. We aim to provide an open door to the community so that all those who are grieving can know that there is a place where their pain will be acknowledged, validated and supported, especially during this Christmas season.
The event will take the form of an informal Christmas gathering and will include music, readings, poetry and a short message of hope. Morning tea is provided.
The gathering is an initiative of Mosaic, a group of people from diverse backgrounds who join together monthly to support one another through bereavement. It is an informal time of listening, learning and sharing our stories with others. All those who are experiencing bereavement are welcome to join the group.
You are not alone.

Hammond Care volunteers needed
Hammond Care are in need of volunteers to visit their clients, either in their residential facilities or in the client's own homes all over the Central Coast community. Volunteers give social support to their vulnerable clients who are isolated or need extra social support. The volunteers do this by visiting clients weekly to chat with them, have a cuppa, go for a walk and just provide company that the clients otherwsie would not have.
