Library Lovers - Week 3
In Week 3, on Wednesday 14 February, we will be joining with libraries across the world to celebrate Library Lovers Day.
Primary students will have an opportunity to write a short note to the Library letting us know what they love about our Library. These will be displayed on the Junior Library windows.
Before school, at recess and at lunchtime, Secondary students will be able to take part in a GPCC pop-up Library “Café” display where books will be arranged on tables under Menu options to publicise the wonderful array of fiction books available in our Library.
Appetisers: Books to tempt them to try something tantalisingly different (short novels, graphic novels, picture books, follow your own adventure books)
Entrees: Books to stimulate their taste buds (short stories, short story collections)
Mains: More substantial books to sink their teeth into (novels)
Desserts: Books with fluffy and light content to make them feel happy and satisfied (humour)
Many of our teachers have also shared their favourite children’s stories and these will also be on display to inspire.
