Easter Art Competition
In Secondary school, we recently ran an art competition to coincide with our K-12 Easter Chapel Service on the theme of ‘Jesus is powerful’. The following students are to be congratulated on their creative efforts.
Monty C and Alex B from Year 7 and Brianna F in Year 8. These students will receive a prize at our next assembly.
Year 7 English
Year 7 are studying The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. As part of their studies, they had to make a comic strip of a scene. Some of the scenes were, when Lucy walks into Narnia, or when the children meet the witch. The students loved bringing art into the English classroom and produced wonderful work. They had to write dialogue to accompany the scenes, which was challenging. Punctuation is often difficult and when dialogue is involved, students must remember quotation marks as well as capital letters.

We are currently experiencing very high demand for enrolment at GPCC. To assist with our planning, we recommend families apply two years prior to intended start date. Please note: If your child is currently enrolled in Year 6 at GPCC you are not required to apply for Secondary School. As noted in our Enrolment Policy, if your child will not be continuing at the College in 2025, you are required to give ten weeks’ notice. Kindly advise our Registrar in writing - registrar@gpcc.nsw.edu.au.
