Head of Primary
Mrs Amanda Rutlidge | Head of Primary
We still have a jam-packed Term 4 with lots of fun and engaging events for our students to finish off the year. Please continue to encourage our students to bring their best each day in their learning, their presentation (uniform) and their relationships.
Please remember that if you need to speak with your child’s teacher, email them to make an appointment. The time before school is very busy for our teachers and it is important that they have this time to prepare for the day. For urgent matters, please email the office and they will pass the message on to the teacher.

Medication at School
Staff at the College are unable to administer medication, (including paracetamol and ibuprofen) without written permission from a parent. If your child requires medication whilst at school, please email: medical@gpcc.nsw.edu.au and deliver medication to the office where it will be stored securely.
Library Books
It’s that time of year to please start looking for any overdue library books that haven’t been returned. Our wonderful Library staff will be doing a stocktake at the end of the year so it is helpful if you start returning library books that may have been forgotten about at home.
7/11
A reminder that students are not permitted to go to the 7/11 before or after school without a parent. Please remind your children about this school rule.
Staff Announcement
One of our long serving Primary teachers, Mrs Karen Munro, will be finishing her employment at GPCC at the end of this year. She has worked extremely hard over the past few years to complete her degree in clinical psychology and will be working in this field next year. Karen is passionate about wellbeing and mental health, so although we are sad to say goodbye, we know that God will use Karen for great things in this next season of her career. Thank you, Mrs Munro for your faithful service at GPCC. We wish you all the very best.
6S Healthy Chef Lesson

What’s been happening in Infants Science
Kindergarten recognise that some objects need to be made from different materials. They created chairs from a variety of ‘interesting’ materials, but settled on metal and wooden legs, with fabric being the comfiest chairs to sit in. Plastic ones are the most practical and long lasting, just like our school chairs.

Year 1 changed the shapes of objects by bending, twisting and stretching. They created kinetic sand, designed pasta brushes to paint with and stretched rubber bands to create images. They concluded that materials need to be flexible so that they can move.

Year 2 students designed and created artworks using natural materials found whilst bush walking. They gathered sticks, bark, leaves and seed pods to name a few materials. They created temporary artwork, photographed it, and returned the materials back to the bush.
