Head of Secondary
“Without realising it, we fill important places in each other’s lives. It’s that way with the guy at the corner grocery, the mechanic at the local garage, the family doctor, teachers, neighbours, coworkers. Good people who are always 'there', who can be relied upon in small, important ways. People who teach us, bless us, encourage us, support us, uplift us in the dailiness of life. We never tell them. I don’t know why, but we don’t.”
Robert Fulgham
As we begin moving to the end of the year, it is a good time for us to reflect on who the people are that have helped us. I hope that you are also able to reflect on who you have been a help to over the year.
In the quote above, Robert Fulgham points out that there are many people who help us, but we don’t always thank them. I encourage parents and students to be mindful over the coming weeks to reach out to those who have been a blessing to you and your family this year. Hopefully, for many of you, a teacher has been one of those people.
