Head of Primary
Mrs Amanda Rutlidge | Head of Primary
It has been a rainy start to Term 2 for Primary but the weather hasn’t dampened a fun, exciting first week back for our students and teachers. It was a joy to welcome back all our primary students and see their happy, smiling faces around the playground and in classrooms. It reminded me of what a privilege it is to be contributing to the formation of these precious children.
Here at GPCC, our calling as teachers goes well beyond that of academic education. We want our students to understand and deeply know who they are as designed, loved and created children of God, with a calling that is full of hope.
It is my prayer for this term that our students continue to grow in their understanding of the depth of God’s love for them and experience the transformative power of the Holy Spirit
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
Site Access
In the next week or so, students will regain access to the Primary School in the morning via the new stairs leading up from the MPC courtyard area. More communication will be sent out soon about precise timing of this change. Once this access has been regained, the gate that has been currently opened in the morning for student access will be locked at all times.
Winter Uniform
We are now in the transition period from summer to winter uniform so please feel free to allow your child to wear winter uniform on cooler days. After Mother’s Day, winter uniform becomes compulsory, so please visit the uniform shop as soon as possible if you need to organise any winter uniform items. Winter uniform requirements are outlined in the Primary Handbook on our school website. Please ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Allergy Awareness
Just a reminder that we are a nut-aware school as we have a number of students enrolled who have significant allergies to nuts and nut products. Please continue to be vigilant in what foods your child brings to school so that we can continue to maintain a safe environment for all our students. Thank you for your consideration in this area
