Head of Secondary
Welcome back to Term 2
I hope you had a restful and refreshing break and that Easter was a time of renewal and joy for your families as we celebrated the hope we have in the resurrection of Jesus.
Each morning on my way to school, I’ve been listening to a podcast called “Unlocking the Bible”, which explores the context and core messages of each book of the Bible. This morning’s episode focused on Lamentations, which includes this well known verse:
“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:22–23
This verse is a powerful reminder of the importance of gratitude. Each day, we are given new mercies from God to be thankful for, such as our health, our families and our school. In the same way, Term 2 brings fresh opportunities: to learn, to grow and to support one another.
Term 2 is a chance to build on the foundations laid in Term 1, to deepen our academic engagement and to continue fostering a culture of respect, kindness and excellence.
This term, we look forward to seeing continued growth in our classrooms on the sporting field, through creative pursuits and most importantly, in the character of our students.
To our parents and carers, I am thankful you for your partnership. We value your prayers, your feedback and the way you walk alongside us in shaping young hearts and minds.
