It is with great pleasure that we recognise Mr Ray Valle as our Staff Member of the Week.

Ray consistently embodies the heart and mission of Green Point Christian College through both his professional excellence and pastoral care. As an English teacher and Year 10 Year Advisor, Ray goes above and beyond to support students, not only academically, but also emotionally and spiritually. He regularly takes time to meet with students for their pastoral needs, offering a listening ear and wise counsel.

His commitment extends beyond the classroom. Recently, Ray gave up several lunch breaks to assist a Year 12 student with their early university entry application. At the beginning of the year, this student believed that university was out of reach, but through Ray’s encouragement and guidance, they grew in confidence and began to explore new possibilities for their future.

Ray is also deeply invested in the wider life of the College. He coaches senior sports teams and provides spiritual support to both students and staff. Known for his authenticity and humility, Ray frequently prays with and for others and is always willing to share his personal walk with God in ways that inspire and uplift those around him.

Ray's work powerfully reflects the attributes in our Graduate Profile, particularly Godly Character, Social Engagement, and the spirit of a Lifelong Learner. He brings joy, laughter, and a deep sense of purpose to everything he does, and it is a true privilege to serve alongside him in our College community.
