Character
At our assemblies, we’ve often explored the theme of character. It is shaped not by grand gestures, but by the everyday choices made by both students and staff. While some traits like honesty, kindness or diligence might come more naturally to some, all of us have the capacity to grow in character by choosing to act with integrity each day.
True character is revealed in the unseen moments—when there's no audience, no recognition, and sometimes there is even a cost to doing what’s right. It’s one thing to be honest when it’s easy, but quite another to tell the truth when a lie would be more convenient. It’s easy to be kind when it’s appreciated, but harder when no one notices. These quiet, often unnoticed decisions are where character is developed. Jesus reminds us of this in Luke 16:10:
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”
God sees what others miss, and He values integrity deeply. When we live with character, whether anyone is watching or not, we build trust, grow in resilience, and honour God with our lives.
