NSW Primary Futsal Champions of Champions
Well done to both our Junior and Senior Futsal Teams for the fine display of skill and sportsmanship at the recent NNSW Primary Futsal Champions of Champions tournament held at Niagara Park.
A huge thanks to both Mr Sneyd and Mr Brown for coaching the teams on the day. Please see report below:
Junior Team
The Year 3 and 4 boys recently competed in the Champions of Champions Primary Futsal Gala Day, playing with skill and teamwork. The team were undefeated in the pool matches, finishing first and progressing to the semi-finals, where they secured a solid 2–0 win over Medowie Christian School. In a tightly contested grand final, they faced Medowie Public School, whom they had beaten earlier in the day, but narrowly missed out on victory, falling 3–2. We are proud of their effort and the way they represented our school. - Mr Sneyd
Senior Team
Our students recently participated in the Futsal Gala Day and represented our school with pride, enthusiasm, and incredible teamwork. Throughout the day, they demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, worked cohesively as a team, and showed impressive endurance across multiple fast-paced games. There were some amazing saves and skilful plays that kept the energy high and spirits even higher.
While we didn’t progress to the semifinals the experience was a fantastic display of resilience, determination, and team spirit. We’re proud of how each student played and supported one another throughout the day. - Mr Brown
CIS Rugby Union Trials
Congratulations to Oscar J (Year 6) who attended the Primary Boys CIS Trials on Wednesday this week. Oscar performed well amongst some tough competition and can be proud of his effort.

CSSA Open Boys Soccer
On Friday (22 June), the GPCC Open Boys team travelled to Valentine Sports Park to compete in the CSSA Secondary State Football Finals. The day had mixed results (0-0 draw against Inaburra, 2-1 loss to Oxford Falls, 6-0 win against Wagga Wagga), and the boys displayed class in all games to progress through to the Semi Finals where we faced a strong Mamre team. Sadly, the boys went down 2-0 and gracefully bowed out of the competition. This team has been a pleasure to coach over the past 12 weeks. We’ve had our ups and downs, cold mornings, and wet mornings, but nonetheless, this group have turned up and put in and it has been a very rewarding time for myself, and all the boys involved. It has been a great year of soccer at GPCC, and there are many more to look forward to with this group and the ones coming through. Thank you for a great year, Mr Partridge.
