Head of Primary
.
Welcome to Term 4.
I hope that the holiday period was restful for our students and their families.
As we head into the final term for 2025, I pray that our students will continue to grow in their knowledge of Christ’s love for them.
There are many special events happening this term so please check our school calendar and the newsletter regularly to keep up to date.
Summer Uniform
Summer uniform is now compulsory so please make sure that your child has all the correct items and that they are clearly labelled.
Wakakirri
Our Wakakirri troupe were honoured to receive a national award for their performance this year. National Awards are given to a small number of school across the country who were outstanding in their performance and in their storytelling. The students and teachers who worked tirelessly on this production should be immensely proud of themselves. You can watch the performance and see the results on the Wakakirri website and see their reactions in the News section of our website. Please also read through to the Creative and Performance section of this newsletter to read more about their wonderful performance.

On Tuesday, Mrs Lines and Mrs Davis took some our our up and coming spellers to the Inter-School Spelling Bee at Wyong Christian Community School.
The students represented the school very well and showed great composure under pressure, as well as excellent manners. The students also encouraged one another beautifully.

Author Visit
On Thursday, illustrator Sarah Davis visited the Year 6 students at GPCC for a hands-on workshop. This experience was part of Sophie S’s (6B) prize pack for being awarded 1st place in the Words on the Waves Short Story Competition earlier in the year.
Sarah shared her passion for creativity and bringing stories to life through visual narrative. She also showed the students how she utilises technology to enhance her illustrations.
Sarah equipped the students with strategies to convey emotion through shape and composition. The students also enjoyed a sneak peek of her current project, The Wobbly Circle.
