Finishing Well
As we begin Term 4, it’s easy to feel like the year is almost over, assessments are wrapping up, events are on the horizon, and holidays are in sight. But as any athlete will tell you, how you finish matters just as much as how you start.
There are countless stories in sport of athletes who celebrated too early. One well-known example is Laura García-Caro, an athlete in the 20km walk who began celebrating before the finish, only to be passed by a competitor in the last metre. These moments are powerful reminders: the race isn’t over until you cross the line.
In the same way, the school year has a “final stretch.” This term is full of opportunities to complete assignments, finish projects, reflect on growth, and prepare for what comes next. It’s tempting to relax too soon, but finishing well is what turns a good effort into a great one. The habits we build in the last weeks of the year often set the tone for the year ahead.
Vaccinations
The Central Coast Health School Vaccination Team is committed to supporting the health of our local students and community.
This year, some students may have missed their school-based vaccinations, or parents may prefer an alternative venue for their child’s immunisation.
To help maintain high community protection against vaccine preventable diseases, The Central Coast Health School Vaccination Team are offering FREE, after-school catch-up vaccination clinics for Year 7 and Year 10 students. Please see details on the attached flyer.
