Primary Afternoon Kiss & Drop Update
To help alleviate the traffic overflow back onto Avoca Drive in the afternoon while waiting for the Kiss & Drop to start operating, we are encouraging families arriving prior to 3.15pm to enter and park in the P3 carpark adjacent to 7-Eleven.
From Monday 27 October our friendly Green Team staff will be on location to help usher cars into and out of these parking spaces, and to assist drivers being able to rejoin the line-up as soon as the Kiss & Drop starts operating at 3.15pm.
This measure will help avoid cars blocking the Bus Bay on Avoca Drive, which has interrupted buses being able to stop for essential drop-off or pick-up at this location.
By reducing the line-up into the College, we hope to also help with the general traffic flow along Avoca Drive at this peak time.
Personal development and Health lessons this term
In Term 4, all students in K-6 will continue to be taught Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) by their classroom teacher.
This subject prepares and supports students to lead, and contribute to healthy, and safe lives which promote respect, responsibility, enjoyment, inclusion and social justice for self and others. Our school’s PDHPE program covers a wide range of education matters. Some of the content of the program deals with sensitive issues associated with Child Protection which will be covered during Term 4. In recognition of this we ensure that the topics are taught in an age-appropriate manner that supports the role of parents and caregivers and in line with our Christian, Biblical perspective.
If any you have any concerns, please contact your class teacher. It is our hope that these units of work will equip our students to be well informed and better equipped in the world around them.
Samaritans Christmas Box Shoeboxes
It’s that special time of year again when we have the opportunity to bring joy and hope to others through the Samaritans Christmas Box Appeal. Each year, generous families from our community fill shoeboxes with thoughtful gifts, essential items, and a little Christmas cheer for those doing it tough.
This simple act of kindness can make a big difference in the life of someone in need, reminding them that they are seen, loved, and cared for.
All shoeboxes need to be returned by Monday 27 October so they can be collected and distributed in time for Christmas.
Let’s come together to share the joy of giving and help make Christmas brighter for others this year.
