Car Park
At GPCC, safety is always a priority. One of the main risk factors at our College is the amount of cars and students at pick up in the afternoons. For this reason, we have begun a road safety campaign. We are asking parents to support us in demonstrating good duty of care by following our car park and pick up guidelines:
- Primary students should not walk across the car park without an accompanying adult.
- Primary students should only be picked up from the Kiss and Drop or the bottom of the hill and are not allowed to walk to Beaties Road or 7/11 to meet parents/carers.
- Students waiting in Kiss and Drop need to be seated and observantly waiting to be picked up.
- Students must follow the direction or teachers and grounds staff in relation to crossings and movement in the pick up areas.
Fruit & Veg Month 2020
How do you know if your family is eating enough fruit and vegetables?
Our school is participating in Fruit & Veg Month 2020. This year’s theme is "Planet Fruit & Veg", because eating more fruit and veg is good for us and the planet. As part of Fruit & Veg Month we have been encouraging children each week on how to "up the fruit and veg" at your place – for yourselves and the planet.
So how do you know if your family is eating enough fruit and vegetables? The simplest way is to include fruit and vegetables at each meal and snack. This resource has some simple tips on how to make this happen.
Recipes referred to in resource Is your family is eating enough fruit and vegetables? fruit wands recipe and video, fruit (or veg) smoothie recipe and video, vegie fritters recipe and video
If you require more information on what activities our school is doing for Fruit & Veg Month, please contact Mrs Munro, kmunro@gpcc.nsw.edu.au or your child’s teacher.
Primary Athletics Carnival - Wednesday 16 September.
Our Primary Athletics Carnival for Years 3-6 will be at school this Wednesday.
Unfortunately, we are unable to have parent or carer spectators due to COVID-19 restrictions, but I am sure the students will have an amazing day.
Students in those grades will need to wear sports uniform and bring their hat, lunch and recess for an amazing day of competition and activity.
