Mrs Nicole Smith | Head of Primary

Welcome Back to School

It is always wonderful to welcome back our students to the College and hear the sounds of laughter and squeals of delight as they see each other again after a significant break from school. I hope that you have all had a healthy, safe and happy holiday period with your family and friends.

 COVID 19 Procedures

The College heard at the end of Term 3 that there is some easing of restrictions in terms of what can occur in educational settings.

I am pleased to announce that:

  • There will be a Year 6 and Year 5 Camp this term;
  • Year 6 will have a graduation that will be streamed for parents;
  • We are working towards a dinner event for Year 6 to finish their time in Primary School;
  • There will be a modified Kindergarten 2021 Orientation Program;
  • Orientation for new students 2021 into Primary and year 7 will still go ahead
  • Parent orientation to Kindergarten and Year 7 2021 will be by a video presentation and a link emailed out to parents;
  • Parents and carers are still not allowed on site;
  • Drop off will remain at the bottom of the hill for Term 4;
  • Chapel services for Primary will be live streamed;
  • Monday and Friday morning assemblies will take place for 10-15 mins only;
  • Interschool sport events will begin again this term.

Please continue to look out for emails from myself and Mr Nash regarding any further events and planning.

Summer Uniform

Uniform is an important part of demonstrating that we belong together and represents who we are as a College. Thank you for partnering with us as we teach our students the importance of respecting these uniform guidelines.

As the weather warms up, please ensure all students have a hat with them each day for sun protection. Summer uniforms are now compulsory from the start of Term 4.

Black socks are not part of our formal or sports uniform and should not be worn to school.  White socks are worn with the girls' uniform and sports uniform and boys are to wear grey socks.

Hats at School

It is now compulsory for Primary students to wear their hats at recess, lunchtime and whenever outside during sport or play.  Please take time with your children to find and re-label their sun hats.

Head of School Awards

Congratulations to the following students who achieved the Head of School Award for Week 9, Term 3:

Isla C, KDL; Claire G, KP; Sydney S, 1G; James T, 1PH; James G, 2G; Gabriella S, 2J; Alex L, 3B; Zoe D, 3K; Isabella M, 4B; Henry S, 4M; Abbey S, 5D; Aiden B, 5H; Sienna F, 5P; (none for 6D); Kyne B, 6M and Samuel W, 6T.

NEW Kiss and Drop - UPDATE

We are still awaiting the completion and opening of the new Kiss and Drop. The extenuating circumstances surrounding the delays have been frustrating to both staff and parents. Can I please ask that you continue to practice grace and patience as we work together in what is clearly very cramped pickup conditions.

School Banking

School Banking is a great way for students to learn good habits of saving money, working toward a goal and the importance of planning.

Students can earn rewards for their effort while learning these important lifelong skills. School Banking will begin again on Fridays, from Week 1 in Term 3. Students can bring their bank books and deposits to the office on Friday mornings. From there volunteer parents count and deposit the money at the bank.

If you are interested in assisting with School Banking, please contact the College office.
