The League kicked off this week and it was game on!
The competition has been extremely fierce and the skill level of our students in Primary and Secondary playing either Soccer or Basketball, was very impressive. There was superb team work and some of the shots were superb. We have a very talented bunch at our school with such amazing skill.
Competition continues for five weeks until the Finals.

SECONDARY ATHLETICS CARNIVAL
It is with great pleasure to inform you that we will be holding our Secondary Athletics Carnival this term at Mingara for Years 7-11 students. It will be held on Friday 6 November in Week 4. As this is our first Secondary sport event for over two terms, it will be one in which I expect all students to be heavily involved, participating in as many events and scoring as many points as possible for their House.
The carnival will begin at 8:45am and conclude by 2:00pm. Students are expected to arrive by 8:30am. There will be buses provided for those students requiring transport. These will leave the College at 8:45am and return by 3:00pm (note that students on the bus will miss the 800m event). Parents will need to indicate via Tours if their child requires transport on the Bus.
This is a compulsory event so all students are expected to be in attendance at the carnival. On arrival, they will need to have their names marked off and repeat this as they leave at the end of the day after the Relays.
Parents will be able to drop off/pick up their child from the venue, however due to restrictions on numbers, parents will not be permitted to attend.
Students will need to bring their own recess and lunch and wear their house shirts. The canteen will be open to purchase food or drinks (all sold individually wrapped).

PRIMARY CRICKET TEAM
Our Senior Boys Primary Cricket Team will be competing in the first round of the CSSA Cricket Knockout. They will be travelling up to Singleton to play a round robin match against Belmont Christian School and Carinya Christian School.
Each game will be a 15 over match and the overall winner on the day will progress to the Final against a Sydney-based school.
We wish our boys all the best for the day.
