Important Dates

The end of the year is quickly approaching and so it is important to note a few events that will be occurring to mark the conclusion of 2020.

• Year 7 Orientation Day for 2021, Day 2 ( 8.45am – 12.00pm )

25 November 2020

• Japanese Sports Afternoon, K-6 2.00pm - 3.15pm

7 December 2020

• Year 6 Graduation (2 guests per student attending)
• Primary Thanksgiving Services (no parents attending)

8 December 2020

• Year 6 Graduation Dinner @ Terrigal SLSC (no parents attending)

9  December 2020

• Last Day for Students

Year 6 Graduation and Thanksgiving Services

We are excited to be allowed to invite two guests per Year 6 student to the end of year Graduation Service. The service will begin promptly at 9:30am. We will be filming the service and it will be available soon after the service through the College website for those who are unable to attend.

Due to numbers of students, we will be separating our Thanksgiving Service into two smaller presentation services and will not be permitting parents to attend.

Please understand this is entirely due to the need to remain compliant to the current COVID-19 restrictions and we will make every effort to photograph all prize recipients for future memory keeping.

School Surf Safety Day – Year 4 Wednesday 18 November

Year 4 students will practise knee board and rescue skills as well as increasing their fitness through relays and sand sports run by Surf Life Saving, NSW. A fantastic opportunity for all our Year 4 students.

Kindergarten Reptile Incursion

Last week our youngest students had a visit from some scaley friends. The Australian Wildlife Park visited our College bringing with them snakes, lizards and even a few turtles. The students were able to have an up-close encounter and for some, even hold a reptile. Learning is so exciting.

Year 4 – History Incursion

This year has pushed the creative boundaries for all our regular activities. Year 4 were not able to visit the Hyde Park Barracks, instead the Barracks came to them through a series of workshops and virtual interactives. Students dressed the part and were involved in a variety of discussions and activities, focusing on early settlement and colonisation.

Orientation Day - New Students 2021

Last week 20 new Primary students for 2021 and 60 Kindergarten students visited the Primary School as part of our Orientation Day. The students spent the day getting to know our campus and make new friends. Parent sessions for both Kindergarten orientation and new students are now posted on our website.

Library News

Final Book Club - Issue 8

The last day for orders is Monday 23 November. Online orders only, no cash orders accepted. Look out for all the Christmas specials; you can order as a present directly to your home. 

Scholastic is opening its warehouse for a sale before Christmas, Wednesday 25 - Friday 27 November, 8.00am - 5.00pm.

Lego Competition

If you haven’t signed up for our "Jungle-themed Competition", please sign up at the Library today.

Lego builds are each day at RECESS. Prizes will be handed out next week.
