Change of start time 2021 to 8:45am

Research suggests that promoting movement and activity in young children can help increase memory, perception, language, attention, emotion and even decision making. When language is combined with movement, learning increases 90 percent.

In an effort to increase the movement and physical activity in the school day we will be introducing a formal outside Crunch/Sip n Go time for our students. This will be a supervised ten minute moving time and five minute Crunch n Sip time scheduled for 10:00am each day.

To cater for this in our timetable we will be starting the school day at 8:45am in line with the start time for Secondary School from the first day of 2021.

K - 2 Scooter Safety Day

This Thursday 3 December during K-2 PE lessons we are having a "Scooter Safety Day", where students will explore key road safety messages as road users, as they prepare for fun on our roads over the school holidays.

K-2 students should bring their scooter and helmet to school on Thursday. Those children without scooters have the option to borrow a cleaned scooter or be a pedestrian throughout the lesson.

Year 6 Graduation

We are excited to be allowed to invite two guests per Year 6 student to the end of year Graduation Service. The service will begin promptly at 9:30am. We will be filming the service and it will be available soon after the service through the College website for those who are unable to attend.

End of Year Thanksgiving Services

Due to numbers of students we will be splitting our Thanksgiving Service into two smaller presentation services. Unfortunately, we are not able to have parents on site for these events. Please understand this is entirely due to the need to remain compliant to the current restrictions and we will make every effort to photograph all prize recipients for future memory keeping.

Japanese Sports Afternoon – Taiiku no hi

Last Wednesday afternoon students from every grade moved to the oval to participate in Taiiku no hi – Japanese Sports Afternoon. The games were fun, inclusive and creative with students participating in obstacle courses, tug o war, soccer shoot outs and ping pong ball throwing. Thank you to our one and only Reynolds Sensei and the Year 6 leaders for their preparation and service in setting up all of the fun activities.
