New Band Director in 2021
We advise that after a number of years of service to the College community JP Fleury has submitted his resignation as Band Director at GPCC. In saying farewell we acknowledge JP for his many years of service and thank him for his dedication to the College and our students as Band Director and Music Tutor. We wish him well in his new ventures. Many students have benefited from JP’s expertise and passion for music and he will be missed!
The Band Program is an important part of the College’s activities and so we have moved quickly to find another suitable Band Director. Consequently, we are pleased to advise that we have been fortunate to secure the services of Mr Brendan Berlach to take over from JP. Some families will remember Brendan when he served as a Saxophone, Clarinet and Flute teacher at the College a number of years ago. Brendan has worked in a similar capacity in a number of schools in Sydney and brings significant experience to our Band program. We will provide a more comprehensive introduction next week and also introduce some exciting developments in the band program’s operation.
There is no time like the present to commence learning an instrument!
GPCC Netball Club
Dear Parents/Carers
It is with great regret that we announce that there will be no netball teams entered into the Gosford Netball competition this year. We have tried for three months to unsuccessfully recruit a Secretary for our club. We understand the busyness of people, and sadly our club is a casualty of this.
We are hopeful of returning for next year, but we will need to have a full committee of parents to ensure this can happen. Keep your eyes out for our call to service in September.
We wish everyone the best for this coming netball season and trust you will find a club that best suits you and your childs needs.
With sadness and regret
Raema Nash
President, GPCC Netball Club
A Heart of Gratitude - note from a parent
As the school year begins, I just wanted to send a big thank you to all the staff and teachers who so faithfully serve our children and provide such a beautiful environment for them to learn. My daughter wrote this note in Kindergarten, she is today starting Secondary School at GPCC and was excited for her first day. Our family is praying that God's kingdom come and His perfect will, be done at GPCC this year. We are so grateful for all that you do.
