Anaphylaxis
We have several students in our school who can, or have a severe life threatening reaction, if exposed to certain foods. To keep them safe we ask that NO nuts or products containing nuts be brought to school. Please ensure you thoroughly check the ingredients of items such as snack bars and spreads to ensure these do not contain nuts.
Students who are anaphylactic have now all been provided with a “Epipen bag”. This bag is taken with them wherever they go on the College campus and when they are off site at a sporting event or excursion.
If you have received an updated allergy or medical plan, it is vital that this information is given to the office to assist us in keeping all of our students safe.

Infants Swimming Carnival – Postponed to Term 3
Due to the restriction of access at our regular venue, and not being able to run the usual full program, a decision has been made to postpone the K-2 Swimming Carnival until Term 3. Thank you to all those parents and carers who volunteered to assist. Your details will be kept and we will notify you of dates when they are confirmed for Term 3.
Grade Parents
Each year the College asks for volunteers of parents or carers to take on the role of Grade Parents. This role involves building culture, welcoming new families, administrating the Grade FB page, and rousing enthusiasm for various parent led events throughout the year including School banking and Mothers and Fathers Day stalls. Grade Facebook Groups
We are aware that many people use Facebook or other social media as a means of quick communication between a large group of people. For this reason, each grade has set up a closed Facebook group. Please ensure that these pages represent the College in a manner that is both respectful and edifying.
Please note that the following guidelines for engaging on the FB Groups. Administrators and the College reserve the right to remove any comments that go against these guidelines. Please click on this link for our GPCC Facebook Guidelines.
Banking – Helpers needed
The Commonwealth Bank conducts the school banking program at GPCC. This program encourages children to save a little money each week into their Youthsaver account, helping them learn about the value of money and develop a good saving habit.
Students can bring in their money and deposit books each Friday and these can be dropped to the College office Student Admin window.
We would love some helpers to count the money on a Friday morning for about an hour. You would only be rostered on once or twice a term.
Please contact the College office if you are able to assist.
Bus Safety Week
Students from K-6 will be participating in Bus Safety Week, where key safety messages around transport by school bus are explored with a visit from Red Bus. More parent information can be found by clicking this link.
