ATSI Observances
During May to July each year, there are a number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Observance days. This year Green Point Christian College is commemorating Sorry Day, Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC as a school community. Our discussions during this time will centre around the Australians Together Framework, giving a brief overview, allowing for deeper study in the future. All information will be contained in this temporary ATSI TAB: https://australianstogether.org.au/education/
All students will be participating in activities, but there will be no whole school event. The topics are listed below. Each week in The Messenger we will inform families of the observance we will focus on in school the following week:

Beauty and the Beast Update
Well folks, they say you can’t keep a good man down and that applies to a good show as well. Rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast have recommenced and we will be putting on the show 17 - 19 November (Week 7 of Term 4).
Dancers are meeting on Tuesday lunchtimes in CAPA 5 with Miss Ricki.
Scenes are being rehearsed on Monday, Thursday and Friday lunchtimes – this term.
We’d like to have two Saturday rehearsals this term where ensemble, leads and dancers go through some of the big numbers that were almost finished last time around. I understand that sport and work happens, so as people are able, come along. Thank you.
Saturday 22 May: 9:00am - 1:00pm “Be Our Guest” – morning tea provided
Saturday 5 June: 1:00pm - 4:00pm “Gaston” - afternoon tea provided.
Many thanks in advance. This time we WILL go ahead, and have fun doing it.
