THACCCSA Zone Primary Metro Cup Tamworth
On Wednesday 2 June our Primary Netball and Soccer teams travelled up to Tamworth for the big Zone Metro Cup Competition. This competition involved over 10 Christian schools from across the Central Coast, Hunter and North Coast, competing in both netball and soccer, vying for a qualification to the CSSA State Metro Cup Finals next term. Our Junior Girls progressed to their Final, and with the scores locked at 9-9 in regular time, the girls eventually won in overtime. Senior Girls also made it to their Finals undefeated and won convincingly 9-2. Junior Boys Soccer team played strong in their pool matches and took on Wyong in the Final, only just to go down 2-1. Finally, our Senior Boys also were dominating throughout the day, qualifying for the Final against Charlton and at the final siren, the scores were 0-0. Therefore, it went to a penalty shoot out, where our boys got up on the final kick. What a day for Green Point, the students played exceptionally well and having all 4 of our teams now qualify for the CSSA State Metro Cup Final is a superb achievement.

CSSA State Secondary Girls Netball
On Monday 8 June, we had two teams of Secondary students represent GPCC at the CSSA Netball Gala Day in Penrith. With around 40 schools in attendance, we had a day of tough competition and exhausting back-to-back games. Both our Junior and Senior girls finished 2nd place in their pools and made it through to the major Quarterfinals.
The Senior girls lost their Quarterfinal to the eventual Grand Finalists, but they put in 100% effort throughout the whole game and never gave up. Once again, I was so impressed by their team spirit throughout the day and the encouragement they all showed each other. Congratulations to our Senior team - Grace H, Emily C, Bella S, Charlotte L, Sienna B, Lauren G, Angelique A, Keely F and Brooke G.
Ms Raeside
The Junior girls played amazingly, and it was a very busy day with the girls playing 7 games back to back, with only a 7 minute break between games. I was so impressed with the way they encouraged each other and worked as a team and dug deep despite how exhausted they were. The Junior girls lost the quarterfinal by 3 to the Northern Beaches who ended up losing in the Grand Final. Congratulations to the Junior Girls Netball Team, Talia, Abby, Savannah, Sophie, Airlei, Jessica, Alyssa, Amelia and Annika.
Mrs Stewart
Finally, a massive congratulations to both Jessica H and Brooke G who have been selected in the final training squad for the CSSA U15 Girls Netball Team. They will now attend one more training session with a group of 24 girls, vying for selection in the final CSSA U15 team.
