It seems to have passed so quickly; we are now in the last week of Term 2. As we head towards a few weeks off from lessons, it is really important that our Year 12 students remain focused on the completion of Major Works and studying for their Trial Examinations which commence on 26 July. I know the long hard slog of the HSC is exhausting, but there is not much longer and now is not the time to lose focus or direction.

Please note some important things coming up early next term: 

Remember the Years 8 and 10 Subject Selection Information Evening will be held in the MPC in Week 1 on Tuesday 20 July 2021, as we start the process of choosing subjects and directions for next year.

Year 10 Strength Potential and Direction Interviews occur in Week 2 on Monday 26 July and Tuesday 27 July 2021 for students and parents as we help focus students on their choices for next year. 

More information will be emailed directly to parents over the coming weeks.

Teacher Accreditation - Life Long Learners  

Mrs Jane McLarty presented Mr Jonathan Oppel his Certificate of Accreditation, Proficient Teacher.  Congratulations Mr Oppel.

NAIDOC Week Fundraiser 

On Wednesday 23 June there will be a fundraiser to help support the ministry of Pastor Isaac Gordon of Brewarrina. 

This will be a Mufti Day (gold coin donation) where the students are to wear the colours of the Aboriginal flag – red, black and yellow.  They are to dress appropriately and respectfully. 

There will be a bake sale at recess where all kinds of yummy baked goods will be on sale.

At lunch there will be a BBQ Sausage Sizzle and soft drinks outside the MPC.

Please come prepared to support this event.

Years 10/11 Drama Production 

Years 10 and 11 will be performing a modernised version of Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen of Verona in Week 10 of this term on 23 - 25 June at 7.30pm each night and 11.30am Matinee on Friday.

Registration for this event is essential to enable us to provide a COVID safe capacity for this venue. Tickets will need to be paid for at the door.

Adults: $10         Student/Concessions: $7            Friday Matinee: $5
