Green and Gold for Nicola

On Thursday 5 August our students dressed in green and gold and took some time out of their scheduled work to cheer on one of our own as she jumped in the Tokyo Olympics.

Parents Coming on Site

Under current restrictions we must limit people coming on site. If you need to pick something up for your child such as resources, please phone ahead. Once you arrive you must QR code in at reception and let them know what you are picking up. Then please wait outside and it will be delivered to you.

Resource Collection

Thank you to all parents who collected resources from the College last Monday. Our drive through service was efficient and ran very smoothly. We anticipate there will be another of these 'drive through pick up’s' in Week 5.

Online Etiquette

Each morning our students participate in an online Teams meeting with their Core teacher. I am so proud of the way all our students, even our 5 year old’s in Kindergarten can navigate this platform. Please remember if you wish to speak to the teacher, that this morning meeting is not the time for that and you are always welcome to email and set up a private meeting with teachers if needed.

Students are also reminded that MS teams is a ‘work’ platform, and they should not use this for messaging or video calls out of school hours or if there is no meeting scheduled by the teachers. As parents it is important to guide our students in this area and assist them in making safe choices about their online presence.

Student Workload

Teachers are always happy to take on feedback regarding the work set for your child. If you have questions or concerns about the level or work set or you don’t understand what is required, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your class teacher via email. We recognise that students working at home will get through a ‘normal’ days’ work in a shorter time period as they do not have the distraction of the buzz of a classroom. For this reason, we recognise that 2-3 hours of solid work is sufficient. Teachers often remain online after morning meetings to assist with any questions regarding expectations.

What have our Champion Online Learners been up to?

Student Well-being

If you or your child have any concerns or are not doing so well, or if you need to just chat with someone, please try to reach out. There are always staff on site and our Counselling team and Well-being teachers are available for individual catch ups and there are many resources on our web page if required.
