What a Wonderful Year
It has been yet another successful year of sport at Green Point Christian College in 2021.
Even though a number of large events were cancelled due to the pandemic, we were still able to be involved in a range of competitive activities throughout both Primary and Secondary.
We had fantastic results in our Swimming season, with a good number of students in both Primary and Secondary progressing from our school carnival to Zone, CSSA and even CIS. Well done to all of our swimmers for their fantastic efforts and results.
Cross Country was another competitive year, with superb performances at our School carnival and then awesome efforts at Zone. Those students who went to CSSA represented our school proudly, again producing fantastic results at such a high level. Again, we even had students make it to CIS which was phenomenal, not to mention Wade B who qualified for NSW All Schools (as well as the Triathlon).
The start of Term 2 was when we had our Athletic Carnivals. They were wonderful days and there were a number of school records broken throughout the day. Age Champions were discovered and the winning House determined. Unfortunately, our superb squad of athletes were unable to demonstrate their skills at Zone, as this carnival and those above it, were cancelled. We are looking forward to next year and what the students can accomplish during the athletics season.
We were able to attend a number of gala days. Our Primary teams were able to compete at Metro Cup, a successful day in Tamworth, as all of our teams progressed to the CSSA Finals. Secondary also had success in Tamworth, with their soccer teams performing exceptionally well. Secondary Girls basketball and Boys Futsal had wonderful tournaments, with our Senior Girls taking the trophy. Again, the next level of competitions was cancelled, meaning that next year is the year to shine in these sports.
Even with a limited number of events occurring in 2021, our teams still performed exceptionally well, flying our school colours proudly and performing to the best of their abilities.
Congratulations to all of our athletes who not only were able to represent our school and compete in a range of competitions, but also to those who qualified for the next level of events.

NSW Girls Waterpolo
A huge congratulations to Mia H (Year 9) for making the NSW Girls Waterpolo Team. This is a phenomenal achievement by Mia to qualify, after many years of dedication and training. We wish you all the best.
CSSA Primary and Secondary Tennis

Also include details on years playing and competition results.
