K-2 Swimming Carnival

Last Friday 13 March our K-2 students attended their swimming carnival. The carnival was a huge success with many students enjoying the water and swimming in races. A big thank you to all parents who participated in supervision and assisted on the day. This is not an event that can happen without our full community involvement to keep everyone safe in and around the water.

Book Covering

Many thanks to those who have kindly assisted with this huge task. We still have many more books to cover and would love some assistance. If you are able to cover a bundle or two of home readers for Primary, please contact the College office.

The NDA 2020 is postponed until further notice

We regret to advise that in the interest of student and staff health, the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA) on Friday 20 March 2020 is postponed.

National Day Against Bullying – 20 March

The Primary School at GPCC joins with the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence (NDA) on Friday 20 March – the 10th anniversary of this initiative to find workable solutions to bullying and violence in schools.

The student leaders within the College have led the campaign to encourage all students to stand together against bullying and violence, providing an opportunity for discussions in the classroom and playground to promote the values of kindness and empathy in our community.

The theme for the NDA 2020 is "Take Action Together". This theme aims to elevate student voice, empowering young Australians to join the national conversation. To observe this day, all Primary students are invited to wear an orange accessory (eg hair tie, cap, bowtie etc) to "Take Action Together" against bullying at GPCC.

Online Excursion Notes and Permissions

Notifications regarding excursions/events will now be emailed to parents, and paper reply slips will no longer need to be returned. In their place, you will need to acknowledge receipt, attendance or other requirements by logging into Parent Lounge with your username and accept the event which is listed in the “Tours and Excursions” sub menu.

You will need to read and acknowledge the attachments, terms and conditions, tick the appropriate boxes for transport and/or bus details, and medical requirements. You must ensure that your child’s medical information is correct and updated in Parent Lounge, and relevant to that excursion before your child can participate.

When the appropriate boxes are ticked, you will need to select “Accept” in the box below the cost box, and then select “Save” at the bottom of the page to complete the acceptance.

If you have any questions, please contact the office on 4363 1266.
