Head of Secondary
Mr Peter McLellan | Head of Secondary
We are introducing a new program into the Secondary School, known as the Living in Fullness Everyday Recognition Program or for short, the LIFE Recognition Program. The goal of the program is to encourage our students to be reflectors of the Graduate Profile; core to this is to help them learn how to do life well while here at school.
It is a scheme that is designed to acknowledge students across all aspects of the Graduate Profile and student life.
The scheme incorporates academic, sport, mission, creative arts, public speaking, debating, service, community service, clubs, competitions, leadership, subject based recognition, and studentship compliments.
It will be introduced in a step-by-step approach with major recognition levels being handed out at our annual Thanksgiving and Academic Service.
Points are accumulated through all aspects of College life and students progress through different levels of recognition through their time in Secondary School. Each level must be achieved before points can be attributed to a new level. The levels are listed below, as is a preliminary points recognition table. These can be modified and adjusted over time. The whole program will be up on the GPCC website in the near future.
