From the Deputy Principal
Weeks 3 and 4 have been very busy in the life of the College. Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 have been involved in NAPLAN Standardised testing, with 1700 individual tests being completed in 119 test sessions. I am so thankful for the team that made this event happen. We have a wonderful IT Department; the most amazing Enrichment Staff and our teaching and support staff are second to none.
Year 10 Service Trip to Brewarrina
Well done to the six Year 10 boys led by Mr Hall and Mr Masters, that went on a service trip to Brewarrina recently. The team braved the mud, the cold weather and the rain and assisted in so many ways. We appreciate your heart for serving.
This week Mr Andrew McGillivray shared an update on our mission field of Brewarrina in staff devotions. It is amazing to see how God has worked through Andrew, our students, and the Brewarrina community to bring hope for the future. Pastor Isaac cannot believe the impact that staff and student visits have had on his ministry as the hands and feet doing God’s work. This connection has strengthened since 2015 to the point that the College has an application with NESA to start Brewarrina Christian School in 2023. It is such an incredible privilege to share the love of Jesus in this area. Your prayers for this process would be appreciated.
