Head of Secondary

Mr Peter McLellan | Head of Secondary

Each year we take Year 9 to a conference called 'Stand Tall' where they hear inspirational speakers. This year they were challenged to look outside themselves and that to never give up. They heard talks about forgiveness and moving forward in relationships as well as talks about perspective in terms that they can blow their worst day out of perspective if they see what other people face and overcome.

One thing that is challenging for us when we are going through hard times is how will we respond. Will we be victims who blame others, make excuses, or deny the truth or will we be navigators who take ownership, accept accountability, and act out of responsibility. I think that in life God helps us to move from a victim to a navigator as it is through relationship with Him our perspective can change.
