Meet Catherine Lamey – Piano Tutor
Each week in the newsletter we will be meeting one of the wonderful music tutors at GPCC. This week is Catherine Lamey - Piano Tutor.
Catherine has been teaching piano on the Central Coast and in various Sydney schools for over 20 years. She has taught students from early ages to adults and from beginners to the more advanced levels. She encourages students to play music just for fun, to simply enjoy learning an instrument or to set a goal through aiming for higher levels of proficiency through examinations up to AMusA level.
Music has always been a passion and an integral part of Catherine’s life, studying piano with renowned pianist Gerard Willems. Encouraged as a young child to learn piano, she realised the value of a musical education along with the power of music through developing her piano skills as a teacher, training in music as therapy and singing in various community choirs.
Since starting tutoring at GPCC last Term, Catherine has been hard at work preparing her students to perform in an online concert for their parents and fellow piano students.
Private Music Tuition and Bands are now up and running for 2022.

40 Year Anniversary Thanksgiving Service
SUNDAY 7 AUGUST 2.30PM
2022 marks the 40th Anniversary of the first year of school for Green Point Christian College with the first class meeting on 17 February 1982. Seventeen primary students came to class with one teacher in the rooms above the Little Coasties Preschool. Today we have 1100 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and occupy our own premises on approximately 17 acres of land which the school has purchased over the years.
Green Point Baptist Church had the vision and courage to start a private school and have been willing to see it grow and expand way beyond what the founders had originally envisioned or probably imagined. We give thanks to God for faithful and hardworking people who have contributed to our school and made it what it is today, and we continue to develop it out of respect for those pioneers.
We invite you to join us for this special service of celebration. If you do not regularly attend Green Point Baptist Church, we kindly request you RSVP for catering and seating purposes by registering below:
