Head of Primary
As we come to the end of another term, I would like to thank our amazing teachers for the work they have done in planning engaging learning experiences, adjusting learning to accommodate the many students away each day, attending gala days, camps and excursions and encouraging our students in their learning.
Our students also have worked hard this term, many also battling colds and flu. My hope and prayer for each family is that you are able to enjoy a healthy, fun holiday together. School returns for all students on Thursday 21 July.
Semester One ReportsOur Semester One reports will be sent out at the end of Week 10 and there will be opportunity to have a parent teacher interview to discuss the reports with your core teacher on Tuesday 26 July (Week 2 Term 3). More information about how to book your appointment will be emailed out early next term.
Write On Competition
All of our students in Years 2-6 participated in 2022, Write On Competition. Students were required to create a written response to the stimulus image below:
I would like to congratulate our Stage Finalists: Lilah E (2D), Piper L (4BK) and Ellen B (6MR). These students will have their entries submitted to NESA to be judged against entries from across NSW.
Please take time to read their beautiful writing.
Calling all those handy with a glue gun, sewing machine or paint brush. We are looking for helpers to assist with set design and costume assembly for our musical. Any and all assistance will be appreciated, and clear direction and kits can be distributed to work on at home or busy bees at school. Year 2 Excursion
Year 2 was blessed with a perfect winter’s day as we explored the Bulgandry Aboriginal Art Site in Kariong. We enjoyed the beautiful bush environment and were amazed at the rock carvings that helped us to learn about the life of the Darkinjung people who lived there so many years ago. We finished our lovely day with an exploration of the Gosford Waterfront Park with its tidal pool and rock formations that have been created to reflect the Bulgandry art site. Thank you to our amazing parents who came along to help on our exciting day.
