National Science Week 2022

National Science Week will be celebrated from 13-21 August. This year the Theme is Glass: More than Meets the Eye.

National Science Week provides an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of Australian scientists to the world of knowledge. It also aims to encourage an interest in science pursuits among the general public, and to encourage younger people to be fascinated by the world we live in.

To celebrate this occasion, all Primary students will be involved in ‘Mad Science Monday’ 15 August. This is a time where students will work together to investigate various Science activities, using a plethora of resources and ideas. Activities will begin after recess at 11:30am and continue until after lunch, concluding by 2:30pm. Students will then return to their classrooms to conclude the day.

We are looking forward to this celebration, as students will complete hands on activities to investigate their world, pose questions, ponder solutions, make predictions and discuss the design process. #creative and critical thinking
