Head of Secondary
Thoroughly Schooled Equine Explorer Program
Congratulations to Codie W, Lotus G and Madeline N in Year 11 who have been invited to attend the Thoroughly Schooled Program in October. Students will learn about numerous career pathways across the equine industry with a focus on horse-breeding, racing and equine veterinary nursing. Students will also acquire skills through practical training at the Hunter Valley Thoroughbred Centre of Excellence and witness industry activities of interest, followed by a parents and students brunch to review post program opportunities. The program is fully funded by the NSW Government. Congratulations girls on this wonderful achievement and exciting opportunity.

Diamond Women's Talk
At Life this week, Years 10-12 had the opportunity to hear from Jen and Cass from Diamond Women. Jen is the founder and CEO of Diamond Women. Jen shared her story of how she started Diamond Women 15 years ago. She saw women who were not being loved or support during their unplanned pregnancies. Her heart broke for these women, as a Christian she could not standby and do nothing. Diamond Women’s heart is to support women who feel pressured or isolated during their pregnancies and continue to support them after their baby is born. Jen also discussed with the students the value of every life, include babies still in the womb. Every one of these children are made in the image of God and need to be loved and cared for.
