Mrs Amanda Rutlidge | Head of Primary
Welcome to Term 4! I hope that the holidays were a wonderful time of rest with your families and friends. The term ahead is very busy with many exciting end of year events. I pray that as we head into the final term of 2024 that God continues to bless each of our students and their families as we seek to follow His will for our lives.
Primary Run Club
Primary School Run Club — a fun and energetic way for students in Grades 2-6 to start their Friday mornings. Whether your child is an experienced runner or just looking to try something new, our Run Club is a fantastic opportunity to get active, build fitness, and enjoy the outdoors with friends. And let's be honest – running is awesome.
Our sessions are held every Friday morning from 8:00-8:20 AM on the front oval, where students will participate in stretching, running, and fun activities. We also offer incentives like certificates and small prizes to keep everyone motivated.
Primary Run Club has been a great success over Term 3 and will continue into Term 4.
Sign up available via Parent Lounge. (Existing club members must re-sign for Term 4)
Please note that we cannot accept spontaneous drop-ins on the day; permission must be given in advance.
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
Green Point Christian College have been supporting Operation Christmas Child for over 30 years.
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. It is a hands-on way for you to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and fun gifts. OCC collect the boxes and distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in vulnerable situations.
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to provide God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to start shopping now. For directions on how to pack a shoebox and what to put in it, please click on the link below.
How To Pack A Shoebox - Operation Christmas Child
Please return all filled shoeboxes to school before Thursday 24 October (Week 2).

Year 2 Excursion
Year 2 enjoyed an exciting morning on Thursday exploring the Bulgandry Aboriginal Art Site. They were able to ‘see, think, wonder’ at God’s beautiful creation and the amazing ancient rock carvings.
Part 2 of their excursion was to visit the Gosford Waterfront Playground, with its sandstone animal ‘islands’ inspired by the Bulgandry carvings. What a wonderful opportunity to explore our local area and be reminded of the importance of caring for the land that God has made.
Sewing Volunteers Needed
We are hoping some volunteers can help us mend some costumes that will mean they last for years to come.
We are looking for people who can sew to take a small bundle of 10 home to sew the edges of the costumes. A sewing or overlocker machine in needed.
If you can help with this, please email Mrs Rebecca McKeown

Term 4 is always a great time in a school. As the weather warms up, the promise of the end of the year approaches and we have many opportunities to express our thankfulness for all that has happened at our school this year.
It is also a busy time of year of students and teachers as we move into final assessments and reports amidst all of the classes, performances, carnivals and other events that are a part of GPCC life. This term we especially think of our Year 12 students who began their HSC exams this week. I would encourage you to spend some time praying for peace and clear thinking so these students can recall the things they have learned.
At the other end of the journey, this week we welcomed our Year 7 2025 students for their Orientation Day as they begin the very first steps of becoming our 2030 Graduating Class.
Year 7 Excursion
On Thursday this week our Year 7 students had the privilege of visiting the Zoo for an exciting excursion with the Science Department.
They are enjoyed a wonderful day in the beautiful sunshine, experienced some up-close animal encounters, and learnt about how to look after and appreciate God’s good and beautiful creation.
Praying for Year 12
We are praying for all our Year 12 students who are completing their HSC Exams.
Enrolment in 2025
To assist with our planning would you kindly notify us if you have already decided that your child will NOT be continuing at the College in 2025. Please advise in writing via registrar@gpcc.nsw.edu.au only if your child’s enrolment will be changing for 2025.
Please note, as per Green Point Christian College's Enrolment Conditions, you must give 10 weeks’ term time notice in writing to the Registrar prior to withdrawal. Without this notice, 10 weeks’ fees + GST will be charged for each student enrolment being withdrawn. This amount is a genuine pre-estimate by the College of the loss that it would suffer due to insufficient notice.
