Partnering with Families for a Flourishing Community
One of the foundational pillars of our College’s mission is the belief that strong families are the cornerstone of a flourishing society. At Green Point Christian College, we are deeply committed to supporting families, both through providing high quality biblically grounded education, and by fostering a community built on respect, care, and shared values.
To help nurture this environment, we have a Code of Conduct for Parents, Guardians, and Visitors. This document reflects our desire to walk alongside families in a spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
The Code outlines how we can best support one another in our interactions, whether on campus, in the carpark, through email, or on social media. It encourages respectful communication, respectful behaviour, and a commitment to resolving concerns constructively. These principles help ensure that our College remains a safe and welcoming place for all.
Here are a few key ways the Code supports our shared mission:
- Respectful Engagement: Families are encouraged to communicate with staff thoughtfully and allow time for responses, recognising the demands of teaching and care.
- Safe Environments: Clear guidelines for carpark use and campus behaviour help protect our children and promote order.
- Positive Representation: Social media use should reflect the values we hold dear: respect, truth, and grace.
When families and the College work together in unity, we model for our children what it means to live in community. We show them how to navigate challenges with wisdom, how to treat others with dignity, and how to build relationships that reflect the love of Christ.
Thank you for your continued partnership. Together, we are shaping not just students, but future citizens who will contribute to a flourishing society.

Year 6 Stepping up
This week, our Year 6 students enjoyed a wonderful week experiencing what life in Year 7 is all about. Students explored new subjects, met some of their future teachers and discovered new learning spaces. Our students embraced every moment with enthusiasm and curiosity.
We are so proud of the way they engaged, asked questions, and supported one another throughout the experience. It’s a joy to see their confidence growing as they prepare for this exciting next chapter.
At GPCC, we’re committed to making the transition to high school a positive and encouraging journey.

Primary Afternoon Kiss & Drop Update
To help alleviate the traffic overflow back onto Avoca Drive in the afternoon while waiting for the Kiss & Drop to start operating, we are encouraging families arriving prior to 3.15pm to enter and park in the P3 carpark adjacent to 7-Eleven.
Our friendly Green Team staff have been on location to help usher cars into and out of these parking spaces, and to assist drivers being able to rejoin the line-up as soon as the Kiss & Drop starts operating at 3.15pm.
This measure will help avoid cars blocking the Bus Bay on Avoca Drive, which has interrupted buses being able to stop for essential drop-off or pick-up at this location.
By reducing the line-up into the College, we hope to also help with the general traffic flow along Avoca Drive at this peak time.

World Teachers Day
This week, we join schools around the world in celebrating World Teachers’ Day, a moment to pause and give thanks for the incredible educators who shape hearts and minds every day.
At our school, we know that teaching is more than just a job,it’s a calling. The Bible reminds us that “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23). Our teachers live this truth daily. They bring patience, creativity, and care into their classrooms, not only helping students grow academically, but also nurturing their character, faith, and sense of purpose.
Teaching is one of the most influential ministries in God’s kingdom. Through lessons, laughter, prayer, and encouragement, our teachers plant seeds of truth that can grow for a lifetime. They reflect the heart of Christ, the ultimate Teacher, who guided His followers with wisdom, compassion, and grace.

FREE Catch-Up Immunisation Clinics
The Central Coast Health School Vaccination Team is committed to supporting the health of our local students and community. You may remember they held a clinic at our school earlier this year for Year 7 and 10 students.
This year, some students may have missed their school-based vaccinations, or parents may prefer an alternative venue for their child’s immunisation.
To help maintain high community protection against vaccine preventable diseases, Centreal Coast Health are offering FREE, after-school catch-up vaccination clinics for Year 7 and Year 10 students.
Please see attached information sheet for further details or contact: School Immunisation Team on 0414193227

K-2 Swimming Carnival
Last Friday, students in K-2 participated in our swimming carnival at the Peninsula Leisure Centre, Woy Woy.
The children had lots of fun swimming, splashing, jumping, sliding, and playing with their classmates. There were even a couple of keen teachers who wanted to be part of the action. A highlight for many children was the inflatable obstacle course and slippery slide.
Thank you to all the parent helpers for braving the chilly pool water or handing out ribbons, to the House Captains and school leaders for setting a great example helping each grade and finally to the teachers for being simply amazing and running each activity.

A big week of Cricket
Last week was a huge week of cricket for Green Point Christian College, with multiple teams taking to the field to represent our school with skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
Earlier in the week, GPCC competed in two simultaneous cricket matches as part of the NSWISCC competition, contesting the Wiburd (U15) and Douglas Shields against St Philip’s Christian College, Gosford, at Sohier Park, Ourimbah.
Both GPCC teams batted first and delivered outstanding performances, each posting totals exceeding 250 runs. Highlights included remarkable centuries from Xavier R (Year 9) and Charlie M (Year 11), who each scored over 130 runs. Although St Philip’s managed to chase down both totals within the allotted overs, it was an exceptional day of cricket, with our students representing the College with great pride and sportsmanship.
Another group of Years 7, 8, and 9 students travelled to Belmont for the Under 15s cricket competition. Josh T impressed with an incredible four wickets, while Isaac S and Hamis G contributed strong batting performances with 22 and 21 runs respectively.
It was a memorable week of cricket across all teams, and we are proud of every student who played with heart, teamwork, and the GPCC spirit.

From 10 December 2025, the Australian Government will require social media platforms to take reasonable steps to prevent anyone under 16 from creating or keeping an account.
Not as punishment. Not to control, but to create a buffer, a developmental pause, in a system that has, until now, let children be shaped by digital forces far more powerful than most adults realise.
Our students will be exploring what this means for them and how to prepare for the delay at school. Please see attached Parent and Carer Guide for more information.
